Ship Notes is looking for authors to submit articles pertaining to the Shipping Industry.  Our goal is to provide a valuable online source of shipping information and industry trends for shippers.

Guidelines

1. The content of the article needs to be your original work and not someone else’s work that has been rewritten. If you are referencing other articles, publications, statements, quotes, or writings from any other author please make note of the source and author so it can be properly sited with your article (subject to approval). The content should be a minimum of 500 words. Plagiarism in any form is not permitted.

2. All articles needs to be published in a word document using this format:

Author Name

Company Name (optional)

Email Address

Short Description “About The Author”

Web Site Link (optional; if you want a back link to your site)

Category You Would like the Article to be Published In

Title of the Article

Content of Article

3. Include all screen shots, diagrams, figures, etc. along with the article. Place the images at the appropriate positions in the word document. Please send us the images in JPEG format separately along with the word document.

4. The language of the articles needs to be written for a broad audience and if any industry terms are used, please include a brief definition.  The content must be free of grammatical, spelling, and other errors.  Most word processing programs have Spelling and Grammar tools so please use these in the finalizing stage of your article.

5. Please do not post the same article at different web sites without our consent. Once you submit an article to us, shipnotes.com owns the copyright to it. If you want to post the article on your own blog or web site, please contact us for approval prior to publishing it.

6. If any of the guidelines are violated, shipnotes.com reserves the right to remove the article from the shipnotes.com web site.

How Long Does It Take To Publish My Article?

After submitting your article please allow 2-3 business days for us to review your article for content and accuracy.  We will then notify you if any changes are necessary; otherwise, once your article has been approved for publishing we will post it on the Ship Notes web site.
